I discuss my gripping story chronicling my journey from a traumatic childhood marked by abuse and neglect to a life of self-affirmation and resilience. Snatched from my home at age four by my estranged Hungarian father, I endured years of physical and emotional abuse. My path to healing took me through a troubled marriage and involvement with a radical evangelical church before I found the strength to reclaim my life on my own terms, and to eventually find an accepting home in Reformed Judaism.
